With 21g of protein per 100g, Almond Cream is a significant source of plant protein — slightly lower than pure Peanut Butter (24g/100g) but higher than most other nut butters on the market (hazelnut spreads: ~13g/100g; cashew butter: ~17g/100g). Almond protein has an incomplete amino acid profile (deficient in lysine), but combined with the skimmed milk powder in the formula (which is rich in lysine), it creates a combined protein with higher biological value. For those using Almond Cream as a protein supplement in shakes or breakfast, combining it with whey protein or milk completes the amino acid spectrum.
