218.4 mg of total caffeine from multiple natural sources: balanced stimulation with prolonged effect: The choice to combine caffeine from multiple natural sources (guarana, green tea, yerba mate) with pure anhydrous caffeine is not random: each of these sources has a different phytochemical matrix that modulates the absorption and release rate of caffeine. Guarana has a protein and tannin matrix that slows down caffeine absorption, resulting in a more gradual onset of action and a more prolonged effect than pure anhydrous caffeine. EGCG from green tea (15%): the catechin with the highest thermogenic and lipotropic activity: Green tea extract (8:1, 50% polyphenols, 30% catechins, 15% EGCG) is standardised to guarantee a minimum content of epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG), the most studied catechin in green tea and the one with the highest documented thermogenic and lipotropic activity. EGCG acts primarily by inhibiting the catechol-O-methyltransferase (COMT) enzyme, which is responsible for the degradation of catecholamines (noradrenaline, adrenaline) in peripheral tissues. By inhibiting COMT, EGCG prolongs the thermogenic and lipolytic effect of catecholamines released during physical exercise and by the sympathetic nervous system. Meta-analytic studies document that the EGCG + caffeine combination increases energy expenditure by 80 to 180 kcal/day and increases fat oxidation by 10 to 16%, being the most well-documented combination in natural thermogenics.
Microencapsulated Cayenne (2.25% capsaicin): thermogenesis via TRPV1 receptors: Microencapsulated cayenne extract (Capsicum annuum) (a technique that slows the release of capsaicin to prevent acute gastric irritation, in contrast to conventional unencapsulated cayenne extracts) is standardised to 2.25% capsaicin. P-Synephrine from bitter orange (30%): mild adrenergic agonist with a superior safety profile to ephedrine: Bitter orange extract (Citrus aurantium, 30% p-synephrine) provides p-synephrine, a sympathomimetic adrenergic alkaloid that shares the same mechanism of action as endogenous catecholamines (noradrenaline, adrenaline) by being an agonist of β-3 adrenergic receptors. β-3 receptors are mainly present in adipose tissue and are responsible for activating lipolysis (mobilisation of fatty acids from adipose tissue into circulation). Forskolin from Coleus forskohlii (50%): activation of adenylate cyclase and increase in intracellular cAMP: Coleus forskohlii extract (10:1, 50% forskolin) provides forskolin, a diterpenoid that directly activates the enzyme adenylate cyclase (independently of adrenergic receptors), increasing intracellular levels of cAMP (cyclic adenosine monophosphate). cAMP is the second messenger that activates hormone-sensitive lipase (HSL), the enzyme responsible for the hydrolysis of triglycerides in adipocytes and the release of fatty acids into circulation. This mechanism of adenylate cyclase activation is synergistic with the adrenergic mechanisms of p-synephrine and caffeine, and potentially complementary to the COMT inhibitory mechanism of EGCG.
L-Carnitine L-Tartrate (2:1): lipotropic for fatty acid transport for mitochondrial β-oxidation: L-Carnitine L-Tartrate (2:1) is one of the forms of L-carnitine with the highest oral bioavailability. L-carnitine is essential for the transport of long-chain fatty acids across the inner mitochondrial membrane (via the carnitine palmitoyltransferase I and II system), being the rate-limiting step of mitochondrial β-oxidation of fatty acids. Without sufficient L-carnitine, fatty acids mobilised from adipose tissue by thermogenic mechanisms (capsaicin, p-synephrine, forskolin) cannot enter the mitochondria to be oxidised as fuel. Naringin from grapefruit (95%), salicin from white willow (50%) and theobromine from cocoa (6%): complementary bioactive compounds: Naringin from grapefruit (Citrus paradisi, 95% naringin) is a flavonoid with CYP3A4 inhibitory properties, which can increase the bioavailability of other Evoburn compounds metabolised by this hepatic enzyme (including p-synephrine). Salicin from white willow (Salix alba, 50% salicin) is a precursor of salicylic acid, which has anti-inflammatory properties relevant for supporting muscle recovery in the context of intense training during cutting phases. Theobromine from cocoa (6% of the 10:1 extract) is a xanthine stimulant with a milder and more prolonged action than caffeine, with complementary vasodilatory and lipotropic properties.
Uses
Recommended dose: Take 3 capsules in the morning and 3 capsules at midday with meals (total: 6 capsules/day = 218.4 mg caffeine/day). Do not take after 4 pm to avoid interfering with sleep. Take preferably with meals to reduce the risk of gastrointestinal discomfort (especially from capsaicin and caffeine on an empty stomach).
Cycles: According to HSN, based on the latest scientific evidence, there is no need for cyclic breaks (cycling) with Evoburn, as recent studies have not shown desensitisation to its effects with continuous use.
