About the Product
OatMash® from the Amix Mr. Popper's® line is an instant extruded oat flour, presented in a 2000g package. The extrusion process pre-gelatinizes the oat starches, making them instantly soluble in cold or hot water without the need for cooking, with quick dissolution and a homogeneous creamy texture in 30 to 60 seconds of stirring. Per 100g: approximately 65 to 70g of carbohydrates, 11 to 14g of plant-based protein, 6 to 8g of mostly unsaturated fat, and 8 to 10g of fiber (including beta-glucan). No added sugars, sweetened with stevia, sucralose, and/or acesulfame-K depending on the flavor. Available in 9 flavors: Natural, Chocolate-Coconut, Nougat-Caramel, Peanut Butter-Cookie, Double Dutch Chocolate, Banoffee, Strawberry-Yogurt, Forest Fruits, and Lime-Yogurt.
Benefits
Instant extruded oat flour, ready in 30 seconds: The main differential of OatMash® compared to conventional oat flakes is its instant dissolution in cold or hot water without the need for cooking. The extrusion process completely pre-gelatinizes the oat starches, making them soluble at room temperature, which eliminates the 5 to 10 minutes of cooking required for traditional oat flakes. Simply mix the extruded flour with water, stir for 30 to 60 seconds, and the oat porridge/cream is ready to consume with a creamy and homogeneous texture. This feature makes OatMash® the ideal solution for breakfast or a post-workout meal when time is limited.
Oat beta-glucan for cardiovascular health and glycemic control: Oats are the most concentrated food source of beta-glucan, a soluble fiber with an exceptional scientific evidence profile. As recognized by EFSA, oat beta-glucan has been shown to contribute to the maintenance of normal blood cholesterol levels and to the reduction of post-prandial glycemic response. The extrusion process of OatMash® preserves oat beta-glucan, maintaining its functional properties even after industrial processing, which has been verified in studies on the stability of beta-glucan in different forms of oat processing.
Superior nutritional profile to rice: protein, fiber, unsaturated fats, and micronutrients: Compared to RiceMash® (extruded rice flour), OatMash® has a significantly more complete nutritional profile: higher plant protein content (11 to 14g vs 2 to 3g per 100g), much higher fiber content (8 to 10g vs less than 1g per 100g), quality unsaturated fats (linoleic acid, oleic acid), and a broader range of micronutrients (vitamins B1, B5, B6, folate, iron, magnesium, zinc, manganese). This more complete profile makes OatMash® the choice for breakfast as a main meal, while RiceMash® is more suitable for specific use as a source of fast-absorbing carbohydrates peri-workout.
Low glycemic index for stable energy throughout the day: Despite the extrusion process slightly increasing the glycemic index of oats compared to whole flakes, OatMash® maintains a significantly lower glycemic index than most processed breakfast cereals, white bread, and fast-absorbing carbohydrates, thanks to the presence of beta-glucan, insoluble fiber, and unsaturated fats that slow down the digestion and absorption of carbohydrates. The result is a gradual and sustained energy profile over 2 to 3 hours, without the glycemic peaks and drops associated with simple carbohydrates.
9 flavors for variety and long-term adherence: The availability in 9 distinct flavors, including unique options like Lime-Yogurt, Banoffee, and Double Dutch Chocolate, allows for a rotation of flavors that facilitates long-term adherence to supplementation and makes breakfast or pre-workout meals a tasty and varied experience.
Versatility of use in fitness recipes: In addition to direct consumption as porridge or cream, OatMash® can be used as an ingredient in multiple fitness recipes: protein pancakes, muffins, cakes, waffles, smoothie thickener, and other baking recipes. The Natural version is particularly versatile for both sweet and savory recipes.
Uses
Instant porridge/cream: Mix 50 to 60g of OatMash® with 150 to 200ml of hot or cold water. Stir well for 30 to 60 seconds until completely dissolved and consume immediately. Adjust the amount of liquid according to your preferred consistency, thicker (less water) or thinner (more water).
Pre-workout (sustained energy supply): Consume 60 to 90 minutes before training as a source of complex carbohydrates with moderate digestion to ensure high glycogen reserves throughout the session without the insulin spikes associated with simple carbohydrates.
Nutritious breakfast: Consume for breakfast as a complete meal rich in carbohydrates, plant protein, and fiber, combined with fresh fruit, nuts, protein powder, or yogurt to increase the total protein intake of the meal.
As an ingredient in recipes: Use as a flour substitute in pancakes, muffins, waffles, or protein cakes. Mix with eggs, egg whites, protein powder, or other ingredients for fitness baking recipes with high fiber and complex carbohydrate content.
