CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid): body composition modulation via PPAR receptors and lipoprotein lipase inhibition:
CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid, c9,t11 and t10,c12 isomers of linoleic acid) is a medium-chain polyunsaturated fatty acid naturally present in ruminant fat (meat and dairy from grass-fed animals), with multiple mechanisms of action on body composition documented in preclinical and clinical studies. The form of CLA in IGNITE is CLA glycerides (CLA esterified to glycerol, the form with more stable and efficient intestinal absorption than CLA in free acid form). CLA mechanisms include: activation of PPAR-α receptors (which increase mitochondrial β-oxidation of fatty acids in muscle and liver), inhibition of lipoprotein lipase (LPL, the enzyme that catalyzes the uptake of circulating triglycerides by adipocytes), and promotion of apoptosis of mature adipocytes (reduction in the number of fat cells). The meta-analysis by Whigham et al. (2007) in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, with data from 18 clinical trials, documented that CLA (average dose ~3.2g/day) reduced fat mass by ~0.05 kg/week vs. placebo. As already described in the Amputation section, safflower oil CLA (present in Amputation) is the most common source in supplements, while IGNITE uses CLA glycerides in powder form.
L-Carnitine Base: the transporter of fatty acids to the mitochondria:
L-Carnitine Base (the form of L-Carnitine without tartrate or HCl salt, with a higher concentration of pure L-Carnitine per gram) is the essential cofactor for the transport of long-chain fatty acids across the inner mitochondrial membrane for β-oxidation. The physiological process is as follows: fatty acids mobilized from adipocytes circulate in the blood as free fatty acids (FFAs) bound to albumin, are taken up by muscle and liver tissues, activated to acyl-CoA by acyl-CoA synthetase, and transferred to carnitine by CPT1 (carnitine palmitoyl transferase 1) to cross the inner mitochondrial membrane in the form of acylcarnitine, then re-converted to acyl-CoA by CPT2 to enter mitochondrial β-oxidation. Without sufficient L-Carnitine, mobilized fatty acids cannot enter the mitochondria to be oxidized and are re-esterified to triglycerides or accumulate in tissues. L-Carnitine supplementation pre-workout is especially relevant for moderate-intensity aerobic exercise (the window of greatest fat oxidation proportion in the energy mix) and for fasted training or severe caloric deficit where glycogen stores are more depleted and fat oxidation is the dominant energy system.
Pre-workout powder format: superior bioavailability to capsules for L-Carnitine:
IGNITE's powder format has a relevant technical advantage over CLA and L-Carnitine supplements in capsules: L-Carnitine in aqueous solution (dissolved in 250-300ml of water) is absorbed faster than in gelatin or HPMC capsules, resulting in a faster plasma peak of L-Carnitine and a mitochondrial availability window more aligned with workout timing (30 minutes post-ingestion). The dissolution of powdered CLA (micronized CLA glycerides emulsified with sodium caseinate and stabilizers) also ensures more homogeneous dispersion of CLA in the drink, with less risk of phase separation or non-uniform intake of lipid droplets compared to conventional CLA softgel capsules.
Vitamin B6: the cofactor for energy and amino acid metabolism:
Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine Hydrochloride) included in IGNITE is a cofactor for aminotransferases (amino acid metabolism), glycogen phosphorylase (muscle glycogen mobilization), and neurotransmitter synthesis (dopamine, serotonin, GABA). In the context of a pre-workout body composition supplement, B6 supports normal energy metabolism and the use of amino acids as an energy substrate during high-intensity exercise.

Unlike Amputation (which contains caffeine, synephrine, and other stimulants) and Power M.F (~350mg caffeine), IGNITE is completely free of caffeine and adrenergic stimulants. This feature allows for: use in nighttime workouts without impacting sleep, stacking with other stimulant pre-workouts without caffeine duplication, and use by athletes with caffeine hypersensitivity or cardiovascular conditions that contraindicate stimulants.
Usage
