GlycoDex® PURE Natural from Amix's AmixPro® line is a new-generation carbohydrate supplement, formulated with a single ingredient: 100% Cluster Dextrin® – the patented Highly Branched Cyclic Dextrin (HBCD), produced from waxy maize amylopectin through enzymatic conversion with a specific branching enzyme. Cluster Dextrin® — the world's leading highly branched cyclic dextrin: Cluster Dextrin® is produced by the Japanese group Glico (the same Ezaki Glico group responsible for Pocky) and is the only patented HBCD with published clinical studies specifically on the molecule. Unlike conventional maltodextrin — which is a linear chain of glucose polymers with a molecular weight of 400 to 2000 Da and high osmolality — Cluster Dextrin® has a highly branched cyclic structure with a molecular weight of ~160,000 Da, resulting in a much lower aqueous solution osmolality (~150 mOsm) than pure water and almost 10 times lower than maltodextrin. This structural difference is what determines all the functional advantages of the product.

Cluster Dextrin® reaches the small intestine within minutes of ingestion, where it is absorbed gradually and efficiently, without adverse gastrointestinal effects — making it ideal for consumption during training, even in high-intensity exercise where gastrointestinal function is compromised.
Stable and prolonged energy without insulin spikes: Despite rapid gastric emptying, the intestinal absorption of Cluster Dextrin® is gradual and sustained, resulting in a gentle and prolonged rise in blood glucose rather than the sharp spikes associated with dextrose and fructose. This glycemic stability translates into consistent energy levels throughout the training session, without the mid-workout performance drops caused by hyperglycemia followed by reactive hypoglycemia. Clinical studies with Cluster Dextrin® document a lower perceived effort during exercise, longer time to fatigue, and a better subjective feeling of energy compared to conventional maltodextrin at the same dose.

Uses
Pre-workout (glycogen load): Mix 1 scoop (30 g) with 250 ml of cold water 20 to 30 minutes before training to ensure high energy availability from the start of the session.
Intra-workout (energy maintenance): Mix 20 to 30 g with 400 to 500 ml of water and consume throughout the training session, especially in sessions lasting longer than 60 minutes or during high-intensity efforts where glycogen depletion is significant.
Post-workout (glycogen replenishment): Mix 30 to 50 g with 300 to 400 ml of water, ideally combined with 25 to 30 g of isolated or hydrolysed whey protein, to maximize glycogen replenishment and muscle protein synthesis in the post-workout window.
