About the Product
Life Pro Nutrition's Thermo Full is a thermogenic supplement in vegetable capsules that combines multiple natural ingredients with complementary mechanisms of action to support fat oxidation, increase metabolic expenditure, and improve performance during training in body definition phases. The formula includes: green tea dry extract (7% caffeine, as a source of EGCG and natural caffeine), N-Acetyl L-Tyrosine (for cognitive focus and catecholamine metabolism support), guarana dry extract (22% caffeine, as a source of slower-release caffeine), bitter orange dry extract (Citrus aurantium, source of thermogenic p-synephrine), Coleus forskohlii dry extract (source of forskolin, an activator of lipolysis via cAMP), cayenne pepper dry extract (capsaicin/capsaicinoids for thermogenesis), and BioPerine® (black pepper extract 95% piperine, for maximized absorption of all ingredients). 2 capsules/day, 30 minutes before training. 90 capsules. Vegan.
Benefits
A broad-spectrum thermogenic: covering multiple fat oxidation mechanisms in a single product:
Thermo Full is positioned between Evidenced Burner (3 ingredients in high doses, "less is more" philosophy with maximum evidence) and Thermo 10 (10 ingredients with a more thermogenic formulation and higher caffeine dose). Thermo Full covers the same basic mechanisms as Evidenced Burner (caffeine + EGCG + p-synephrine) but adds ingredients with complementary mechanisms (Coleus forskohlii via cAMP and forskolin, cayenne pepper via TRPV1 receptors and capsaicin, guarana as a source of staggered-release caffeine, N-Acetyl L-Tyrosine for cognitive focus and catecholamine metabolism support), resulting in a more comprehensive formula from a mechanistic point of view.
Green tea (EGCG + 7% caffeine) + Guarana (22% caffeine): dual caffeine source with distinct absorption kinetics:
One of the technical characteristics of Thermo Full is the use of two caffeine sources with different absorption kinetics: caffeine from green tea extract has moderate absorption kinetics (the presence of green tea polyphenols slightly moderates caffeine absorption), while caffeine from guarana extract (Paullinia cupana, seeds) has slower absorption kinetics since it is complexed with xanthines, tannins, and saponins from the seed, resulting in a more gradual and prolonged release. This dual source allows for both a rapid onset of energy (green tea caffeine) and sustained and prolonged energy throughout training (guarana caffeine). In addition to caffeine, green tea contributes EGCG (epigallocatechin-3-gallate), which inhibits COMT and prolongs the action of noradrenaline in adipocytes, enhancing the lipolytic effect of caffeine and p-synephrine.
Bitter orange extract (p-synephrine): thermogenic and β3-adrenergic lipolytic:
As described in the Evidenced Burner section, p-synephrine from Citrus aurantium extract activates β3-adrenergic receptors in adipocytes, stimulating lipolysis and thermogenesis with minimal cardiovascular impact compared to ephedrine (which is a structural analog but with additional α1 and β1 activity). The inclusion of p-synephrine in Thermo Full creates a tripartite stack (caffeine + EGCG + p-synephrine) at the base of the formula, to which complementary ingredients are added.
Coleus forskohlii (forskolin): direct activation of adenylate cyclase and increase in intracellular cAMP:
Coleus forskohlii extract (Plectranthus barbatus, Lamiaceae family) contains forskolin (or forscohlin) as its main active compound, a diterpene that directly activates adenylate cyclase (AC) in cell membranes, independently of adrenergic receptors. AC catalyzes the conversion of ATP to cAMP (cyclic adenosine monophosphate), which is the intracellular second messenger that activates hormone-sensitive lipase (HSL) in adipocytes (promoting lipolysis) and protein kinase A (PKA) which phosphorylates and activates multiple enzymes of energy metabolism. The mechanism of forskolin is synergistic with caffeine (which inhibits phosphodiesterase, preventing cAMP degradation) and with p-synephrine (which stimulates cAMP production via Gs-coupled β3-adrenergic receptors): while caffeine and p-synephrine increase cAMP indirectly (via inhibition of degradation and via stimulation of receptor synthesis), forskolin increases cAMP directly (via receptor-independent AC activation), creating a triple amplification effect of the cAMP signal. The clinical trial by Godard et al. (2005) documented that 250 mg/day of Coleus forskohlii extract (10% forskolin) for 12 weeks significantly reduced fat mass and increased lean muscle mass in overweight men compared to placebo.
Cayenne pepper (capsaicin and capsaicinoids): thermogenesis via TRPV1 receptors:
Cayenne pepper (Capsicum annuum) contains capsaicin and other capsaicinoids as active compounds, which activate TRPV1 receptors (Transient Receptor Potential Vanilloid 1), calcium and sodium ion channels present in sensory neurons and other tissues including the gastrointestinal tract and adipose tissue. Activation of TRPV1 in the gastrointestinal mucosa and enteric nervous system reflexively stimulates sympathetic nervous system activity, increasing adrenaline and noradrenaline secretion and the activation of adrenergic receptors in adipocytes and brown adipose tissue (where uncoupled thermogenesis is mediated by the UCP-1 protein). The TRPV1 mechanism is distinct and complementary to that of the other thermogenic ingredients in the formula (which act via cAMP/PKA), resulting in the simultaneous activation of multiple thermogenic pathways. The meta-analysis by Lejeune et al. (2003) documented that capsaicin can increase energy expenditure by 4 to 5% and fat oxidation by 10 to 16% above baseline.
N-Acetyl L-Tyrosine: cognitive focus and catecholamine metabolism support during caloric deficit:
N-Acetyl L-Tyrosine (NALT) is the acetylated form of L-Tyrosine with higher cerebral bioavailability. As described in the descriptions of Life Pro's pre-workouts, tyrosine is the precursor of catecholamines (dopamine, noradrenaline, adrenaline) which are progressively depleted during prolonged efforts and in contexts of chronic stress (including the metabolic stress of the caloric deficit in a definition phase). During calorie-restricted diets, catecholamine depletion is a common phenomenon that contributes to fatigue, reduced motivation for training, and decreased cognitive focus. NALT in Thermo Full supports the maintenance of catecholamine levels during the caloric deficit period, maintaining energy and focus even in contexts of lower energy intake.
BioPerine® (black pepper 95% piperine): maximized absorption of the entire formula:
As in multiple other Life Pro products that include BioPerine® (Curcumin + Bioperine, NAC, Berberine), piperine from Piper nigrum extract inhibits intestinal and hepatic phase II metabolism enzymes and P-glycoprotein, increasing the oral bioavailability of the other active ingredients in the formula. For polyphenols (EGCG from green tea, capsaicin from cayenne pepper, forskolin from Coleus) that have significant pre-systemic metabolism, BioPerine® can increase absorption by 30 to 50%, ensuring that the doses of the active ingredients declared on the label are effectively absorbed and made available to target tissues.
Uses
Recommended dose: Take 2 capsules/day, 30 to 60 minutes before training, with a light meal. To assess caffeine tolerance (Thermo Full contains caffeine from multiple sources via green tea and guarana), start with 1 capsule/day during the first week. On non-training days, take 1 to 2 capsules in the morning with breakfast to maintain the thermogenic effect throughout the day. Avoid consumption after 4 pm to prevent sleep disturbances. Do not exceed 2 capsules/day.
