About the Product
Life Pro Nutrition's New Venom Full Strength Pre-Workout is the most complete pre-workout with the highest number of active ingredients in the brand's portfolio, designed to prepare the body for high-intensity strength and power training. Each 15g dose combines 14 active ingredients in clinically relevant doses, covering the 5 main dimensions of pre-workout performance: energy and focus (200mg anhydrous caffeine + Cognivia® + Acetyl L-Tyrosine + Ginseng + Rhodiola), muscle strength and power (3000mg creatine monohydrate), endurance and anti-fatigue (4800mg beta-alanine), pump and vasodilation (2400mg L-Citrulline + Vinitrox® + Glycerol), and antioxidation and thermogenesis (Alpha-lipoic acid + Bioflavonoids + Cayenne pepper + BioPerine®). Dosage: 15g (1.5 scoops) in 250ml of water, 1 hour before training. 300g (~20 servings). Contains 200mg of caffeine per serving. Flavors: Fruit Punch, Cola, Energy Drink.
Benefits
Beta-alanine 4800 mg: the highest dose per pre-workout serving, at the clinically documented carnosine saturation dose:
With 4800 mg of beta-alanine per 15g serving, New Venom provides a dose closest to the maximum documented in clinical studies (3200 to 6400 mg/day for muscle carnosine saturation) in a single pre-workout dose. As detailed in the product description of Life Pro's Beta Alanine 1000, beta-alanine is the limiting precursor for muscle carnosine synthesis, and carnosine is the most effective intracellular pH buffer during high-intensity efforts lasting 1 to 4 minutes. With 4800 mg per single dose, New Venom provides a daily beta-alanine dose close to the maximum saturation dose documented in longer-term studies, maximizing the rate of muscle carnosine reserve saturation with regular use.
Creatine monohydrate 3000 mg: the standard maintenance dose integrated into the pre-workout:
The 3000 mg of creatine monohydrate per pre-workout serving covers the standard daily maintenance dose (3 to 5 g/day) without the need for separate supplementation. The co-ingestion of creatine with caffeine in a pre-workout context has been debated in the literature, with some studies suggesting that caffeine may partially antagonize the effects of creatine on phosphocreatine resynthesis (via competition at adenosine receptors that regulate muscle creatine uptake). However, most recent studies and meta-analyses do not document a clinically relevant antagonism under real-use conditions (moderate doses of caffeine with creatine in adequate doses), and the inclusion of both in a single pre-workout is a common practice in the supplement industry.
L-Citrulline 2400 mg + Vinitrox® 90 mg: the synergistic combination of nitric oxide precursors for maximum pump and vasodilation:
L-Citrulline (in its free form, L-Citrulline base, not citrulline malate) is the most effective precursor of plasma arginine and, consequently, nitric oxide (NO) production via endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS). Unlike oral L-Arginine (which has limited bioavailability due to extensive first-pass metabolism by the liver via arginase), L-Citrulline is absorbed in the small intestine, converted to L-Arginine in the kidneys, and made systemically available for NO synthesis with much higher efficiency. The meta-analysis by Pérez-Guisado & Jakeman (2010) documented that 8g of citrulline malate reduced muscle fatigue and increased the number of repetitions to muscle failure by 52.92% in strength exercises on the bench press, compared to placebo. Vinitrox® is a patented extract of apple (Malus domestica) and grape polyphenols that acts as a phosphodiesterase (PDE) inhibitor and an eNOS activator via an endothelial mechanism, enhancing and prolonging the vasodilatory action of NO generated by L-Citrulline.
Glycerol monostearate (GMS) 850 mg: cellular hydration and "dry" pump without stimulants:
Glycerol monostearate (GMS) is an osmotic agent which, when ingested with water (250 ml in the case of this dose), increases the osmolarity of the extracellular and intravascular fluid, promoting water retention in muscle tissues by osmotic gradient. This "muscle hyperhydration" effect results in increased cell volume that contributes to muscle pump (the sensation of "fullness" and muscle stiffness during strength training) by a mechanism distinct from nitric oxide, with the two mechanisms (NO via L-Citrulline + hyperhydration via GMS) being additive and not redundant. GMS is especially relevant for athletes training in hot conditions or who tend to lose a lot of fluid through sweating.
Cognivia® 360 mg: the patented sage extract for cognitive focus and mental function during training:
Cognivia® (developed by Naturex, now Givaudan Active Beauty) is a combined extract of Salvia officinalis leaves (common sage) and Salvia officinalis essential oil standardized in active compounds (rosmanol, rosmarinic acid, eugenol, and other terpenes). Sage has a long tradition of use as a plant for improving memory and cognition, and recent clinical studies have documented that Salvia officinalis extract improves working memory, information processing speed, and attention in young adults and older adults. The mechanism involves the inhibition of acetylcholinesterases (increasing acetylcholine levels, the main neurotransmitter for attention and memory), the inhibition of butyrylcholinesterases (a less relevant role), and direct antioxidant effects on nervous tissue. In the pre-workout context, Cognivia® enhances mental focus, concentration during training, and the mind-muscle connection.
Acetyl L-Tyrosine 360 mg: cognitive and anti-catabolic support for intense training stress:
Acetyl L-Tyrosine (ALCAR from tyrosine, not L-Carnitine) is the acetylated form of L-Tyrosine with greater brain bioavailability than free L-Tyrosine, as it crosses the blood-brain barrier more efficiently. As described in the L-Tyrosine section of the Evidenced Formula EAAs, tyrosine is the precursor of catecholamines (dopamine, noradrenaline, adrenaline) which are progressively depleted during prolonged intense efforts, contributing to central fatigue. Supplementation with acetyl L-Tyrosine in pre-workout "loads" the tyrosine stores available for catecholamine synthesis, supporting the maintenance of motivation, focus, and tolerance to intense training stress throughout the entire session.
Anhydrous caffeine 200 mg: the central ergogenic stimulant in the formula:
Anhydrous caffeine (200 mg/dose) is the main stimulant in New Venom, with the most robust ergogenic evidence base among all available stimulants. Caffeine acts as an antagonist of adenosine receptors (A1 and A2A), blocking adenosine's inhibitory effect on dopaminergic, noradrenergic, and cholinergic systems, resulting in increased alertness, reduced perceived exertion (RPE), increased maximal strength, improved reaction time, and increased aerobic and anaerobic endurance. The 200 mg dose is clinically effective (the documented ergogenic dose is 3 to 6 mg/kg body weight, corresponding to 180 to 360 mg for a 60 kg athlete) and moderate enough not to cause excessive adverse effects (tremors, tachycardia, anxiety) in most users.
Panax ginseng 120 mg + Rhodiola 30 mg: adaptogens for sustained energy and recovery:
Panax ginseng (Korean ginseng, dry root extract) is one of the most studied adaptogens, with documented effects on reducing perceived fatigue, improving cognitive function during stress, and improving performance in submaximal intensity aerobic exercise. Rhodiola rosea (dry root extract) is a Tibetan adaptogen with evidence of reducing mental and physical fatigue, improving reaction time, and reducing markers of muscle damage in athletes. Both have adaptogenic mechanisms that complement the acute effects of caffeine with a component of medium-term stress resistance.
Alpha-lipoic acid 240 mg + Citrus bioflavonoids 120 mg + Cayenne pepper 20 mg + BioPerine® 10 mg: the antioxidant and thermogenic stack:
Alpha-lipoic acid (ALA) is a broad-spectrum mitochondrial antioxidant with the unique ability to regenerate other antioxidants (Vitamins C, E, glutathione) after being oxidized, and with documented effects on insulin sensitivity and muscle glucose uptake. Citrus bioflavonoids have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity that reduces oxidative stress from intense exercise. Cayenne pepper (capsaicin) increases thermogenesis and can enhance fat oxidation during exercise. BioPerine® (patented piperine from Piper nigrum at 98.5%) increases the bioavailability of multiple nutrients present in the formula.
Directions for Use
Recommended dose: Dissolve 15g (1.5 scoops) in 250ml of cold water. Consume 30 to 60 minutes before training. To assess individual tolerance to caffeine and beta-alanine (which causes paresthesia/tingling), start with half a dose (7.5g) for the first 1 to 2 sessions. Do not consume close to bedtime, especially for people sensitive to caffeine. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose of 15g.
