About the Product
Life Pro Nutrition's Creatine Creapure is a powdered creatine monohydrate supplement formulated with a single ingredient: Creapure®, the patented creatine monohydrate from AlzChem Trostberg GmbH (Germany), recognized as the international standard of quality and purity in creatine supplements. Each 5g serving (1 level scoop) provides 5g of creatine monohydrate with 99.95% purity, without excipients, sweeteners, colorings, or flavorings, in a Neutral format that allows it to be mixed with any beverage without altering the taste. Available in 500g and 650g packages. Vegan.
Benefits
Creapure®: the international quality seal that sets the purity standard for creatine monohydrate:
Creapure® is the creatine monohydrate exclusively produced by AlzChem Trostberg GmbH at its Trostberg factory (Bavaria, Germany), via controlled chemical synthesis from sarcosine and cyanamide, with a patented production process that guarantees a minimum purity of 99.95% creatine monohydrate per batch. It is the only creatine ingredient on the supplement market that has its own analytical quality control and third-party verification for the absence of relevant contaminants: creatinine (a thermal degradation product of creatine), dicyclodiaminopropane (DCD, a potentially nephrotoxic synthesis byproduct), DHT (dihydrotriazine), and heavy metals. This analytical transparency and German origin traceability distinguish Creapure® from the Chinese-sourced creatine raw materials that dominate the low-cost market, often lacking verifiable third-party purity certification and showing greater variability between batches. The Creapure® seal has been consistently associated with the benchmark standard for creatine in clinical trials, being the raw material used in many of the studies that established the effectiveness of creatine monohydrate. Life Pro explicitly specifies the use of Creapure® as a raw material, rather than generic creatine, as a guarantee of quality for the consumer.
Creatine monohydrate: the sports supplement with the largest and most robust scientific evidence base:
Creatine monohydrate is the ergogenic supplement with the largest accumulated scientific evidence base in the entire history of sports supplementation, with over 1000 published clinical studies over more than 30 years of research. The International Society of Sports Nutrition (ISSN) position statement classifies it in category A evidence (the highest), concluding that it is the most effective ergogenic nutritional supplement available for athletes aiming to increase high-intensity exercise capacity and lean muscle mass during training. Creatine is a nitrogenous compound endogenously synthesized in the liver, kidneys, and pancreas from the amino acids arginine, glycine, and methionine, and preferentially stored in skeletal muscle (95% of body reserves) in the form of phosphocreatine (PCr) and free creatine. A supplementation dose of 3 to 5 g/day progressively raises intramuscular phosphocreatine reserves to saturation levels (typically reached in 3 to 4 weeks without a loading phase, or in 5 to 7 days with a loading phase of 20 g/day in 4 doses).
The mechanism of action: ATP resynthesis via phosphocreatine and the benefits on performance in high-intensity efforts:
The central ergogenic mechanism of action of creatine is the acceleration of ATP (adenosine triphosphate, the universal energy currency of cells) resynthesis via the creatine kinase reaction: phosphocreatine (PCr) donates its phosphate group to ADP (adenosine diphosphate) to regenerate ATP immediately, without the need for oxygen and without lactate production. This pathway (phosphagen system or ATP-PCr system) is the fastest of all ATP resynthesis pathways and the predominant one in the first 10 to 15 seconds of maximum effort. With greater phosphocreatine reserves available (thanks to supplementation), the muscle can sustain high-intensity efforts for longer periods before exhausting the phosphagen pathway and having to resort to anaerobic glycolysis (slower and lactate-producing). In practice, this translates into: a greater number of maximum repetitions per set in strength training; greater average power in repeated sprints; maintenance of strength and power at the end of exhaustive sets; and greater total sustainable training volume per session. In addition to the acute effect on muscle bioenergetics, chronic creatine supplementation activates anabolic signaling pathways (IGF-1, mTOR) that enhance muscle protein synthesis and long-term hypertrophy.
Clinical evidence: magnitude and consistency of documented benefits:
The meta-analysis by Lanhers et al. (2017), published in the European Journal of Sport Science with 22 studies, documented that creatine supplementation produced an average increase of 8% in maximal strength (1RM) and 14% in the number of repetitions to failure in strength training, compared to placebo. The meta-analysis by Rawson & Volek (2003) on high-intensity exercises and repeated sprints documented an average improvement of 15% in peak power and 14% in average power. These effects are robust, replicable, and consistent across sexes, ages (young adults and older adults), and training levels (sedentary to high-performance athletes), with creatine being the only ergogenic supplement with this level of consistency across populations and contexts of use.
99.95% purity: the difference that defines product quality and safety:
The 99.95% purity specification of Creapure® means that 99.95g out of every 100g of the product is chemically pure creatine monohydrate, with the remaining 0.05% corresponding to trace amounts of residual water and analytical traces within detection limits. This purity eliminates synthesis contaminants that may be present in lower-quality creatines and justifies both the confidence of athletes and the preferential use of Creapure® in clinical studies that established the efficacy and safety of creatine monohydrate.
Neutral powder format without sweeteners: complete dissolution and maximum versatility:
Neutral (unflavored) creatine monohydrate powder dissolves in water, juices, protein shakes, or any other beverage without significantly altering the taste. Although the solubility of creatine monohydrate in cold water is moderate (about 13 g/100 ml at 20°C), 5 g in a 300 ml serving dissolves completely with moderate agitation and is easily absorbed. The absence of sweeteners, flavorings, and colorings makes this product suitable for: athletes who consume creatine added to already flavored protein shakes; people sensitive to artificial sweeteners like sucralose; and professionals who prefer to individually control all components of their sports nutrition.
Uses
Recommended dose: 5g (1 level scoop) per day, dissolved in 300ml of water, juice, or beverage of choice. The dose can be taken at any time of day; current evidence does not consistently support a significant advantage of pre- versus post-workout intake for strength and hypertrophy effects, with regularity and daily consistency being more important than specific timing.
Loading phase (optional): To saturate muscle phosphocreatine reserves faster (in 5 to 7 days instead of 3 to 4 weeks), a loading phase of 20g/day divided into 4 doses of 5g throughout the day can be done for 5 to 7 days, followed by a maintenance dose of 3 to 5g/day. The loading phase is optional, and the saturation effects are equivalent with or without it (only the speed of saturation differs).
Continued use: Creatine can be used continuously without the need for breaks or cycles. Safety evidence with continuous use over several years does not document adverse effects in healthy individuals with normal kidney function.
